PRINTING United Expo, an in-person exhibition that was due to take place in Orlando, Florida, has been cancelled due to the latest Covid-19 variant. While it’s disappointing for exhibitors and attendees that an in-person exposition won’t be feasible, PRINTING United Expo will still go ahead in 2022 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
Next, 2020 saw packaging manufacturers have to ramp up efforts overnight in response to a surge in e-commerce caused by the pandemic. John Garner, head of business development for packaging at Antalis, has given advice on how to navigate the changes and has highlighted labour and raw material shortages as two key factors in supply and logistics issues.

And finally, Canon has secured a deal to become the official imaging supporter for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. The agreement will see Canon support athletes and organisers with printing solutions as well as on-site medical imaging services. Canon says its Professional Services will help the event organisers and venues to deliver a memorable fan and spectator experience
