to celebrate last week’s National Apprenticeship Week, BPIF Training held a selection of daily webinars via Zoom to help employers, parents, carers and guardians, apprentices, and teachers. The webinars ran from February 7th to February 11th and provided information about careers in print, apprenticeship funding, recruitment, as well as apprenticeship vacancies and application support.
Next, Visual Print and Design has raised nearly £200 for a local mental health charity in Lincolnshire. The company based in Lincoln and Glasgow has donated a portion of December profits to Shine Lincolnshire, a county-wide charity supporting people struggling with their mental health. The donation is part of Visual Print’s yearly tradition to donate profits to a charity chosen by the team.
Now, in 2021 many companies took the chance to rebrand and focus on new business strategies. Specialists in labels, Loftware, was one such company, as it refreshed and solidified its integration with NiceLabel solutions. In part two of our interview with Josh Roffman, senior vice president of marketing and product management, he told us about the company’s recent events and changes.
And finally, Metsä Board, the fresh fibre paperboards division of Metsä Group, has rolled out a 3D platform to help minimise the environmental impact of packaging. Integrated at the Metsä Board Excellence Centre, the platform will enable the company to carry out packaging simulation, meaning it can recommend optimal packaging materials and packaging structures to customers.
