Liverpool-based reprographic and print company, Hobs Repro, has reinforced its sustainability goals by introducing the “you print one, we’ll plant one” initiative. In a collaboration with PrintReleaf, a platform made to offset paper usage through reforestation, trees will be planted on behalf of Hobs and its clients to reforest areas of geographic need.
Next, London-based Brightside Print & Design has kicked off 2022 with an investment into its booklet binding equipment. Installed at Brightside’s head office in Stratford, East London, the new machines have allowed Brightside to offer a wide range of booklet types and sizes, capable of producing up to 3,000 books per hour, along with new creasing and folding opportunities.
Now, with industry costs increasing and businesses faced with new challenges, trade associations have become more important than ever. With associations such as the BPIF, FESPA, and IPIA making big waves in helping those in the print, paper, and packaging industries, we took the opportunity to speak to IPIA general manager, Brendan Perring, about the importance of these groups.
And finally, Epson has set out its plans for Sign and Digital UK this year, saying it will use its stand at the event to showcase how its printers can help visitors produce work across a wide range of markets. The SureColor SC-V7000 UV flatbed printer will be given its first public showing in the UK, with visitors able to find out more about its use of 10-color UltraChrome UV Inks.
