First, after a two-year gap, FESPA recently returned to the global stage with the Global Print Expo. 54% of visitors were visiting the event for the first time with 44% being business owners or directors, demonstrating the increased sales potential for exhibitors. Highlights included Printeriors which saw the print community join in celebration of interior design and decoration.
Next, UK Greetings is one of the largest direct to retail publishers of expression products and greeting cards in the UK. Communications manager, Gabriella Peace, has highlighted the benefits of print on demand as it allows customers to get their hands on their favourite designs, without the hassle of retailers having to anticipate their orders, making for a more eco friendly solution.
Now, with the recent need for quick and personalised labelling for both retail and medical use, companies like KTEC have seen a huge surge in business. At the recent PPMA show, we spoke to Robert Knox, managing director of KTEC about the new technology and solutions available to label makers, and how business is fairing coming out of the pandemic.
And finally, Xerox is working with the United Nations to provide print technology services for the COP26 conference. The print and copying services run across the entire conference campus and covers all function events and country delegations from around the world. Xerox has also provided FSC certified paper which will be recycled with toner cartridges after the event.
