200-year-old Frogmore Paper Mill has been forced to close after a large fire caused extensive damage to its visitor centre. A statement by Herts Police says the fire is believed to have been started deliberately and a 13-year-old boy has been arrested. The Mill is currently assessing the damage to the site and is hopeful its historic working machines have survived.
Next, management information systems provider, Accura, has branded The Print Show 2022 as a springboard for recovery. The company says the show is massively important and will play a major role in helping to restore and rebuild confidence in the market. Taking place from September 20th to 22nd at the NEC in Birmingham, it will be the first UK-facing print exhibition in over two years.
Now, launched officially in 2019, the TASKalfa Pro 15 thousand C is Kyocera’s first high speed inkjet colour printer aimed at the transactional mail environment. The company has been producing its own ink heads and inkjet technology for years but this is the first time the company has put this technology into its own chassis. We spoke to chief executive, Rod Tonna-Barthet about the machine.
And finally, digital print company, Kellmatt has upgraded its Morgana DigiFold Pro to the latest DigiFold Pro XL. The automatic creasing and folding system features a suction feeder that can handle stock sizes from 210mm to 1,300mm in length. Complementing mid-to-high volume digital and offset production presses, its cross-perforation capability was a big selling point for Kellmatt.
